Yard & Forklift Operator - Meredith, NH

Goodhue Boat Company is growing and we are looking for driven, enthusiastic, and talented individuals to join our team and grow with us! Goodhue is a family-oriented company that values diversity, gender equality, open lines of communication and believes in developing employees to their fullest potential. We are looking for a Full-Time, Yard Hand and Forklift Driver with boat detailing in the off season to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Marina Manager in ensuring the success of the Marina at our Meredith location.

Job Summary:

The Yard Hand and Forklift Driver will report to the Marina Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Marina. In this position, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in the seamless service we provide to the customers of our marina.

Duties/Responsibilities:·
  • Move boats using tractors and marina forklifts.
  • Assist in launching and racking boats.
  • Transport trailered boats using pick-up trucks to other locations.
  • Inspect heavy equipment for damages.
  • Remain up to date on OSHA and company guidelines and ensure they are being followed at the marina.
  • Keep up to date on all heavy marina equipment certifications.
  • Report all equipment damages, accidents, and problems to the Marina Manager.
  • Clean boats according to company standards and/or client specifications, which may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors.
  • Operating steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.
  • Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of boats.
  • Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:·
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using heavy equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s license, required.
  • Clean driving record, required.
  • Experience using SpeedyDock, preferred.
  • Marina Forklift experience, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
Education:
  • Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.

Service Advisor - Meredith, NH

Goodhue Boat Company is growing and we are looking for driven, enthusiastic, and sales-oriented individuals to join our team and grow with us! We are looking for a Full-Time, Marine Service Advisor to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the success of the Service Department at our Meredith Marina.

Job Summary:

Marine Service Advisors will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring our customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all information necessary to create an accurate estimate.
  • Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs.
  • Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.
  • Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
  • Finalize and invoice work orders.
  • Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
  • Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
  • Follow up after work is complete.
  • Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Marine or Automotive Service Writer experience, preferred
  • Strong customer service skills, in-person and over the phone.
  • Possesses a high degree of organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and execute a plan and to react effectively to unexpected situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.
  • Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.
Education:
  • Associate’s degree in business or 2 years of customer service management experience.

  • $50,000-$65,000 Base + Commission, based on experience.

Boat Detailer - Meredith, NH

Goodhue Boat Company is growing and we are looking for driven, enthusiastic, and talented individuals to join our team and grow with us! Our Meredith, NH marina is looking for a Full time Boat Detailer to join the team at Goodhue Boat Company.

Our service department focuses on the maintenance, repair, and detailing of a wide range of boat makes and models. As a Boat Detailer with our team, you will be responsible for providing customers with a impeccable detailed boat, both inside and out.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Clean boats according to company standards or client specifications, which may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors.
  • Operating steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.
  • Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of boats.
  • Keeping a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • No previous experience needed. Will train.
  • Previous auto detailing experience a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
