Meet the Smith Mountain Lake Marinas!
Goodhue Boat Company has added two new marinas located in Virginia on the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake. The first Goodhue Boat Company location on Smith Mountain Lake is our Eastlake location, formerly Crystal Shores Marina, which was acquired in November of 2023. The second location is our Blackwater location, formerly Crazy Horse Marina, which was acquired in February 2024. This blog post will be a spotlight on each marina and what they will be offering to the Goodhue customers.
Goodhue Boat Company, Eastlake is a family-friendly marina nestled in a protected deep-water cove, and is just minutes away, by both land and water, from Halesford Bridge and Bridgewater Plaza. Just off Route 122, we are only a 45-minute drive from Roanoke and an hour from Lynchburg. On the same property as the marina is the beloved restaurant Drifter’s. Drifter’s is a family-friendly American-style restaurant with lots of outdoor waterfront seating and a small-town atmosphere that you can access straight off your boat and enjoy a delicious meal. The marina is equipped with 253 slips for boat owners and rental boats for the vacationer. We will be carrying new inventory of Cobalt, Malibu, and Premier Pontoon boats for sale, as well as gas pumps on the dock ready to fuel you up at any point of the day!
Our second new location on Smith Mountain Lake, the Blackwater location, is located just past Channel Marker B-10A on the west side of Smith Mountain Lake. On the same property as the marina is the Mexican restaurant Los Amigos with a covered outdoor seating area to withstand weather rain or shine. this marina has a beach area great for lounging out and floating the lake. The marina is equipped with 120 slips for boat owners and rental boats for the vacationer. The Marina has about 1700 ft of shoreline and a water depth of 35ft. We will be carrying new inventory of Cobalt, Malibu, and Premier Pontoon boats for sale, as well as gas pumps ready to fuel you up at any point of the day.
Both new locations will be partners with the Carefree Boat Club. This club was founded in 2002, and has become a premier boat club in both the United States and Canada. The goal of the club is to provide its members with the highest quality boating experience. Our partnership with Carefree Boat Club aims to put more time back on your calendar so that you can prioritize the things that matter. The membership included access to new power boats, unlimited usage, use of 140+ locations worldwide, from Canada to Panama, and on-the-water skill training to keep you and your crew safe on the water.
